Business in Japan the JMEC Way
The Japan Market Expansion Competition (JMEC) is a unique and long-standing business training program in Tokyo that centers around a business plan writing competition. The dual objectives of the program are to strengthen the skills of up-and-coming executives, while assisting foreign companies doing business in Japan. JMEC is supported by 18 Chambers of Commerce in Japan and has been offering the program for the past 30 years.
The program is entirely in English and provides participants the opportunity to write an actual business plan focused on the Japan market. The top three teams win an HP computer, Delta Airlines Tickets to North America, travel bags and membership to the ACCJ. The program costs JPY150,000 for a 7-month program.
Participants are Japanaese and non-Japanese; average age is 33. Please refer to Participant section of this website for further details.
Our up-coming JMEC program starts November 16, 2024. Attend one of our information sessions to learn more about the program and speak with alumni.
